New Perspective-Franklin to Serve Growing Demand for Senior Living
FRANKLIN, WI – (January 21, 2019)—To better serve the growing demand for senior living, a new, amenity-rich senior community has broken ground in Franklin, Wisconsin. New Perspective – Franklin is a 180,000 square-foot, multi-story community being built on six acres at 7220 Ballpark Drive South. Designed to serve seniors, the community will offer a variety of amenities, services, activities, programs and care to meet residents’ wants and needs as they age.
New Perspective-Franklin features 149 units consisting of independent and assisted living apartments and Betty’s Harbor, a secure neighborhood specifically designed for those with memory loss. New Perspective – Franklin is operated by Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based New Perspective Senior Living, which has more than 20 years of experience serving seniors.

The community will feature a spacious two-story lobby and reception area with fireplaces, water features and natural stone appointments. Exterior views and natural light play an integral part in creating a warm open atmosphere. The wellness center will feature state of the art equipment specifically designed for the senior exercise experience including an indoor warm-water pool kept at a constant 93°F. Residents will have plenty of dining choices including the restaurant style dining room with grand fireplace, a café and relaxing pub. Other amenities will include a full-service beauty salon/spa, activity center, movie theater and dance hall.

Independent and assisted living apartments are offered in a variety of configurations to accommodate different price points. Each is equipped with a kitchen, in-apartment laundry and many have screened-in porches. Other services and activities will be offered, as well, including daily concierge access, housekeeping, activity transportation and exceptional, on-site physical therapy and wellness services. For those requiring additional assistance in the activities of daily living, care will be available 24 hours a day.
Betty’s Harbor memory care is an open yet secured floor plan with easy acess to two outdoor courtyards. Warm, natural light will fill the dining rooms, living rooms and activity spaces. Betty’s Harbor is configured in three unique spaces so that residents can thrive in smaller environments while still taking advantage of the amenities and opportunities a larger building provides. The New Perspective team utilizes the latest in research in combination with extensive programming and activities to provide the best care and life experience. An array of vibrant physical, mental, and social activities is directed by coordinators and life engagement coaches.
The New Perspective of Franklin’s general contractor is Stevens Construction’s in Milwaukee, with the opening slated for the spring of 2020. The project will create more than 100 construction jobs and employ more than 80 employees.
