Our goal to help seniors live life with purpose was inspired by one amazing woman.

Our Stary Starts With

Betty's story.

After a full life of serving others, our founder’s mother-in-law needed a place to help her remain strong and independent after she developed Alzheimer’s.

Read a short message from founder Todd Novacyzk — Betty’s Son-in-Law

A life of serving others.

My mother-in-law, Betty, lived a full, vibrant life dedicated to helping others. After serving with distinction in the Women’s Army Corps during World War II, she became the sole supporter for her family after a car accident left her husband disabled.

When she developed Alzheimer’s late in her life, it became clear that as her condition advanced, she was struggling to maintain her strong, independent spirit.

Over the seven years that Betty lived with our family, we learned to find personal ways to keep her secure, yet socially involved. We recalibrated what we did as a family to create a culture that protected her dignity while encouraging her independence. New Perspective is born.

New Perspective is born.

Ultimately it was Betty’s life and character that helped frame what New Perspective is all about today. So, as you walk through our communities and you happen to hear someone say, “What’s best for Betty?” you’ll know that it is our way of continually focusing everything we do towards the best interests of our residents, and to help each resident live life with purpose and meaning every day.

Take the next step.
