New Perspective Senior Living Announces Winners for First Annual Resident Christmas Card Contest

New Perspective Senior Living has unveiled the winning artwork from its first annual resident Christmas card contest. Seven winning designs were selected from more than 100 entries across the organization. The winning artwork was created by residents ranging in age from 65 to 95 years old.

“Last year we created custom Christmas cards using artwork created by Delores Bost, one of our New Perspective – Waconia residents,” explained Ryan Novaczyk, New Perspective Senior Living President and CFO. “We received such an amazing response we immediately knew we wanted to expand the program to include all of our residents.”

Six of the winning designs are being transformed into sets of Christmas cards that will be used by each of New Perspective’s residences for the 2017 holiday season. A seventh design will be used for holiday cards for the company’s Eden Prairie-based Resource Center.

Winners were selected based on overall impression and impact, memorability and inspiration to others. Judging was conducted by a committee representing various disciplines within the company.

“It was so gratifying and rewarding to see the level of participation and creativity,” said Doug Anderson, New Perspective Senior Living Vice President of Marketing. “Our seniors loved it. Almost as soon as we announced the contest we had residents asking who had won, and when they’d see the new cards. The hardest part was narrowing the selection down to the final seven.”

In addition to seeing their winning artwork transformed into a Christmas card, each of the winners received a $100 Visa gift card.

Winning entries were created by: Peggy Ritter of New Perspective-Eagan, Minn., Joyce Vigessa and Arlene Heins of New Perspective-Faribault, Minn, Joyce Todd of New Perspective-Silvis, Ill, Donna Matheson of New Perspective-Sun Prairie, Wisc; and Delores Bost and Dorothy Ives of New Perspective-Waconia, Minn.
